Software vendor Continuum opens Sydney office

US-based software vendor Continuum has flown in one of its co-founders to manage the company's freshly-launched Australian operation.

Continuum provides a SaaS-based platform that enables providers to backup, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain desktops, servers and other endpoints for small and medium-sized businesses.

Frank Bauer, who was most recently Continuum's senior channel development manager, will manage the Asia-Pacific operation from the new Sydney office.

As the managing director for Asia-Pacific, Bauer will be key to building a "strong regional foundation". He will work closely with MSPs, IT service providers and office equipment dealers.

According to the company, the move is due to the company's growth in the region in the past two years.

"Our expansion into the Asia Pacific market with a new office and team solidifies our commitment to success in the region," Bauer said.

Bauer has 18 years' IT channel experience and will report to Robert Kocis, Continuum's chief revenue officer.

Kocis said: “The investment highlights the increasing importance of the Asia-Pacific market to Continuum, driven by robust demand for our offerings in Australia and New Zealand. While it reinforces our commitment to our regional partners, the new office also represents our first step in expanding our footprint in this high-growth and competitive market."

One of Continuum's local partners is Adelaide managed services provider and 2016 CRN Fast50 company Geek.

Continuum has six offices, three in the US, one in England, one in Mumbai and one in Sydney.
