Seccom expands portfolio with Tier-3 deal

Managed security service provider Seccom Global has announced a vendor partnership agreement with Australian vendor, Tier-3.

Seccom will offer Tier-3's threat management tool, Huntsman, as either a fully managed or on premise installation across Asia Pacific.

The partnership is positioned to address large organisations as well as mid-market organisations seeking improved security.

The announcement comes just weeks after Seccom Global inked two deals one with unified threat management provider Astaro and the other with growing cloud security services provider, Zscaler.

"Tier-3's solution is impressive," said Gavin Matthews, Seccom's CIO in a statement. "You can't manage what you can't see [and] Huntsman can, as it is able to manage both known and unknown threats, making it possibly the only complete IT threat management system," he said.

Tier-3's Huntsman supports any security, network device, operating system or application that threaten IT assets, the vendor claimed.

Michael Livingstone, director of sales and marketing said Tier-3 is "impressed by Seccom's steady expansion throughout Asia Pacific and their reputation for technical expertise and support".

"Tier-3 sees genuine synergies in the new relationship," said Livingstone.

Livingstone said Tier-3 is currently providing managed security monitoring and response for financial services, federal, government critical infrastructure and telecommunications.
