Local SAP partners will this month receive tools to help quantify the potential value of deploying SAP software in their customers' businesses.
Partners will be invited to attend a workshop, called a partner academy, in early October as part of SAP's value engineering initiative, the company said today.
The initiative is designed to help partners quantify "the value from potential systems projects by benchmarking discrete business processes against the industry and global SAP best practice".
"Our partner community is already delivering huge value in Australia and New Zealand. This initiative will take that value focus a step further," said Greg Harbor, director of value engineering for SAP Australia and New Zealand.
"Our channel strategy is focused on continuous partner training and enablement, which includes certification programs and sales and marketing support.
"We believe that this will increase their relevance as a strategic business partner to the end customer."
It was hoped the information generated by the tools would enable end-customers to prioritise their systems projects and strategic investments.
