Geraldine McBride, president and CEO of SAP Asia Pacific Japan, welcomed Ebbeck’s promotion. “I’m very pleased to confirm that Tim will take on the role of president and CEO for Australia and New Zealand. He has strong leadership ability and a proven track record of successful results in the areas of the business that he has led over the years,” she said.
McBride said that Ebbeck will provide key steering of SAP’s business growth over the next two years.
“We have set ambitious growth plans to double the size of our business in A\NZ by 2010 and Tim will play a key role in driving us forward towards this goal,” she said.
Ebbeck has a long association with the ICT industry, having worked for companies including TMP Worldwide, Compaq Computer and Investment Vehicle, Unisys South Pacific Division and Tandem Computers. He joined SAP in 2003 as CFO for A/NZ and was last year promoted to the role of senior vice president for Asia Pacific Japan.
