SailPoint launches AI-powered tool to speed cloud migration for identity security customers

SailPoint has launched SailPoint Agentic Acceleration, an AI-powered methodology designed to move enterprises from legacy on-premises identity systems to its Identity Security Cloud platform faster.

The offering is powered by SailPoint Virtual Architect, a purpose-built AI capability the company said can translate legacy configurations, workflows and policies into a deployment-ready cloud foundation - reducing the manual engineering effort that has traditionally made large-scale identity migrations lengthy and risky.

SailPoint said the methodology compresses timelines that previously took months into a matter of days by automating what it described as the most complex, time-intensive parts of the modernisation process.

A key feature of Virtual Architect is the ability for customers to preview their actual applications, workflows and provisioning processes running within Identity Security Cloud before committing to an upgrade - giving enterprises a way to validate fit and build internal confidence ahead of cutover.

"By automating the foundational heavy lifting, we are removing the primary barriers of time, cost, and risk that have slowed enterprise transformation efforts," said Matt Mills, president at SailPoint.

"For our customers, this means realising the value of their cloud investment almost instantly. For the market, it signals a new standard for identity security, one that delivers intelligence with greater speed and less complexity."  

SailPoint said Agentic Acceleration will be provided at no additional cost for customers upgrading from its IdentityIQ product or competing legacy solutions to Identity Security Cloud, delivered through the company's forward-deployed engineers.

The company also flagged implications for its partner ecosystem, saying that by automating the early heavy lifting of cloud modernisation, partners would be freed to focus on addressing more complex security requirements - particularly those arising from what SailPoint called the growth of agentic AI deployments.
