Unified observability vendor Riverbed has named Brian Gormley as director of solution engineering for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
Formerly ANZ senior manager of solution engineering, Gormley returned to Riverbed in May last year after an almost two-and-a-half-year stint at Aternity, where he served as APJ manager of solution engineering.
Gormley first joined Riverbed in March 2015, initially serving as systems engineer for APJ southern region before becoming APJ specialist of digital performance management.
“Brian is the ideal leader to drive a significant shift in the unified observability market in the APJ region," Riverbed's APJ VP Chris Parker said.
"His deep technical knowledge, combined with outstanding client and leadership skills, are key to delivering exceptional solutions to customers.”
In his new role, Gormley will enhance Riverbed's presence in the APJ region, positioning the company to lead in the unified observability solutions market, the company said.
His primary goals include developing a high-performing solution engineering team throughout APJ that will leverage Riverbed's Alluvio Unified Observability suite to improve the digital experience of clients and their employees.
Gormley's remit includes team management, solution customisation, technical consultation, client relationship building, market strategy development, collaboration with sales and marketing, product innovation, compliance adherence and cross-regional collaboration.
