Held at the Crowne Plaza in Terrigal, Peter O'Connor, vice president of NetApp Australia and New Zealand, thanked the winners and said the company will be investing heavily in the partner community in the coming months.
"I'm a channel guy, I came from a channel background and I want to see our partners be hugely successful," he said.
According to O'Connor, 95 percent of the company's marketing budget will be directed towards lead generation activities for partners. He added that NetApp will kick in two thirds of the cost of events staged by partners to sell NetApp products.
Data storage solution provider, XSI Data Solutions, won the coveted national partner of the year for Australia. XSI also won new partner of the year and swept in to win top partner honours in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
New business deal of the year was taken out by Fujitsu New Zealand who also went on to win top country partner honours in New Zealand. IT software and services provider, Empired, snapped up partner of the year status in Western Australia.
