Perth's icetana sees strong revenue growth in Q4FY24

ASX-listed icetana Ltd (formerly known as iCetana) has reported what it says is the company's strongest quarter-on-quarter growth rate in three years.

For the quarter ended June 2024, icetana saw annualised recurring revenue of $1.9 million. This is up 16 per cent year on year, and nine per cent quarter on quarter.

Existing contract renewals meant the annual recurring revenue retention was 102 per cent, and total quartely software and hardware revenue was up 12 per cent, to $473,000.

Icetana has launched new next generation product capability that includes line crossing and occupancy, facial and licence plate recognition, and created its own generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) AI.

The video surveillance company uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect abnormal events and unexpected behaviour in real-time, for large scale networks.

It has 17 staff in Perth, and and monitors some 15,000 cameras in 14 countries, including Australia, the United States and the Middle East. Schools, universities, shopping malls and casinos across Australia are icetania's customers.

icetana raised $2.3 million in November last year from existing investors such as Lance East Group, and Macnica, which is now the largest shareholder of the company.
