Palo Alto Networks names new Australian boss
Simon Green

Palo Alto Networks has hired Simon Green for the ANZ vice president role after Armando Dacal was promoted to a regional post.

Dacal has been named the vendor's 'vice president for Asia-Pacific service provider', according to the security vendor, with Green now responsible for driving overall revenue and profitability for Palo Alto Networks in Australia and New Zealand.

Green served in multiple roles during his 13 years at NetApp where he was also senior vice president and general manager for APAC. He was also chief operating officer at Interactive for almost two years before joining the security vendor in February 2016.

Dacal was regional vice president for three years before stepping up to the Asia-Pacific role. He has worked in the industry since 2001 and held several senior roles in companies such as Verisign, Symantec, Melbourne IT and Lotaris.

Palo Alto Networks came in 15th place in the 2016 Cybersecurity 500 list.
