Telco Pacific Internet has built out its services capabilities with the launch of its Global Security-in-the-Cloud and Global Internet Virtual Private Network (VPN) offerings.
The Global Security-in-the-Cloud service aims to provide a hosted solution to meet enterprises’ needs for cost-effective enhanced network security, while the Global Internet Virtual Private Network (VPN) service is offered as a solution to improve companies’ regional connectivity as a VPN on public networks or as a back-up network to their existing private Wide Area Network (WAN).
Phey Teck Moh, president and chief executive officer of Pacific Internet, said: “Increasingly, enterprises are demanding more from their solution providers. PacNet is committed to delivering value to customers through real value-added IP-based solutions.”
Moh said managed network security solutions such as PacNet’s Global Security-in-the-Cloud and Global Internet VPN services are good examples of the firm’s commitment to helping its customers grow their businesses beyond their home markets.
Steven Ng, senior vice president of the regional business group and group product development at Pacific Internet Limited, said: “Network firewalls deter unsolicited traffic from the public Internet from entering enterprises’ private networks. Yet most companies are constrained by budget limitations, which means that they have to struggle to keep up with increasingly sophisticated virus attacks on their networks.
“We have responded by offering PacNet Global Security-in-the-Cloud and Global Internet VPN Services; services that allow enterprises to not only protect the security of their expanding networks to the highest levels, but affordably and with the least hassles.”
Ng added that network security and integrity remains an important priority for any business that need to adopt critical security solutions, but have to deal with factors such as high costs and the complexity of implementation.
