Optus claims ANZ first with managed Cisco firewall accreditation

Optus has announced it is the first service provider in Australia and New Zealand to earn Cisco's powered services accreditation for its Optus Managed Cisco Firewall.

Optus touted its “deep expertise and ongoing investment in developing a comprehensive portfolio of Secure Managed Network Services”.

The service offers business customers access to certified experts, 24x7 monitoring and proactive updates to keep firewalls optimised and protected. Optus also touted its ISO 20000, ISO 27000, and SOC 2 certifications.

The accreditation required Optus to demonstrate compliance across key service areas, including security policy management, web filtering, and remote access VPN gateways.

Optus claims this showed its ability to “deliver a best-in-class firewall service powered by Cisco's globally recognised technologies.”
