Optus has reported the addition of 30 new stores over the financial year, but sales have fallen as the telco continues to make adjustments to its channel.
Equipment sales were down by $31 million due to lower shipment volumes and a "change in channel mix" to Optus stores, according to today's earnings report.
This was one factor blamed for a fall in mobile revenue, which was down 4.2 percent.
The telco continues to "rebrand and refit stores" and had 152 stores at the end of March this year.
This follows a major shakeup to Optus' retail channel, when the telco severed its partnership with TeleChoice and Allphones in 2012.
A year ago sister publication iTnews reported Optus would close about 300 stores.
Optus today reported a 15 percent increase in net profit for the financial year. Revenue was down 15 percent.
