On Hot Copper, the ASX forum, rumours that Leading Solutions may be experiencing cash-flow problems have infiltrated ComputerCORP discussion threads.
This is not the first time speculation concerning Leading Solutions' line of credit has been a hot topic on Web forums. The reseller's recent acquisition of BCAIT suffered similar rumours.
A post on Hot Copper stated: "The BCAIT side of the business brings in a lot of cash to keep the main part of [Leading Solutions] solvent, so without this I'm sure Leading would have fallen."
The forum contributor added that the failed merger with ComputerCORP could indicate a case of history repeating itself.
“I hear it’s happening again, the credit hold scenario with Leading Solutions, they are on hold with all major suppliers. It has been reported they will be having major cash flow issues over the next couple of months,” said the comment.
Another forum comment indicated that Leading Solutions’ management style may not have been conducive to the proposed merger.
“My source has said management has a ‘head in the sand’ approach to this and staff aren’t happy with the dictatorial approach of management,” stated the post.
Both ComputerCORP and Leading Solutions declined to comment on the rumours, adhering to a confidentiality agreement drafted by Leading Solutions.
At the time of press, CRN could not establish contact with Frank Colli, managing director of Leading Solutions; however in other media reports Colli denied accusations that the company was suffering financial difficulties.
