Junee Shire Council (Council) is seeking submissions for the supply of IT managed services in support of the in-house IT support team, comprised of the IT manager, the IT coordinator and two trainees.
Junee Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region of NSW and includes the town of Junee and the villages of Bethungra, Illabo, Wantabagery, Harefield, Old Junee, Junee Reefs and Dirnaseer.
Works are anticipated to include consultancy, project resourcing, routine maintenance and technical support, an ad-hoc opportunity to supply hardware items, and the opportunity to supply software.
The types of work to be delivered over a monthly cycle include managing on-prem server equipment and software, as well as on-prem network infrastructure equipment and software including routers, switches, comms equipment, Wi-Fi and inter-site radio network; a Service Desk provided to council with email and telephone support; and configuration of a Microsoft 365 stack.
The MSP will also be required to provide Council’s IT manager with monthly performance reporting for support tickets; carry out business continuity and disaster recovery services; and provide advice and recommendation on the backup, retention and recovery platform used by Council to protect its on premise and cloud.
Assisting Council with cyber and information security auditing, testing and reporting, assisting Council’s IT support team with reactive and proactive support and assisting Council IT with migrating from the existing MSP to the new partner are also part of the monthly cycle of work.
The contract will be initially signed for three years and Council may extend the agreement up to three occurrences for another one-year period.
The tender closes on 31 March 2026 at 02:00PM, with an expected decision slated for 28 April.
