Tech chief steps down from NRI Australia after two decades
Nomura Research Institute (NRI) Australia has announced the departure of its chief executive officer Dean Langenbach following a five-year tenure leading the digital solutions provider.
Langenbach's resignation comes after nearly 20 years with the company, including his time with ASG Group.
ASG rebranded as NRI Australia in 2023, after being acquired by the Japanese company in 2016.
"It's been a great privilege to lead NRI in Australia and be involved in the growth and development of ASG over many years," said Langenbach.
Tomohiro Yamazaki, NRI Australia Holdings president, will serve as interim chief executive until December 2024.
A permanent chief executive appointment is expected next month.
Under Langenbach's leadership, NRI Australia expanded to 2500 employees serving 290 enterprise and government clients.
"With the rebranding of the business completed last year, and a focus on driving organic growth opportunities, now is a natural time to transition to new leadership," Yamazaki said.
The company completed several strategic acquisitions during Langenbach's tenure, including Microsoft partner Velrada.
Other key acquisitions included design consultancy Pragma Partners and Group 10 Consulting.
