Nimble names Telstra, Deloitte, Blue Central and Onel Consulting as top partners

Nimble Storage has revealed its top Australian partners during its annual partner conference last week in Kingscliff, New South Wales.

Deloitte Consulting took the top award home being named Nimble's Partner of the Year.

Deloitte Consulting partner cloud and infrastructure solutions Josh Rubens said: "We're very proud to be recognised as Nimble's Partner of the Year. Nimble Storage is a key strategic vendor for Deloitte and we see them as a critical part of a customer's data centre modernisation journey on their path to a cloud based architecture."

The partner recently announced the deployment of Nimble infrastructure to five Victoria councils.

Sydney-based Blue Central was awarded with the Australia Northern Region award and Melbourne-based Onel Consulting took the Australia Southern Region award.

Noel Allnutt, general manager at Solista, took home Most Valuable Player for Sales and Philip Smith, solutions architect at Datacom in Queensland was awarded with the Most Valuable Player for Technical Support and Expertise.

Nimble Storage introduced the SmartStack award in recognition of the growth with Cisco's SmartStack and Telstra took the inaugural award. In early 2016, Nimble Storage productised SmartStack as a private cloud offering within Telstra to assist Telstra and Nimble's partners with solution design and procurement.

More than 100 partners attended the awards ceremony. The partners were awarded based on customer growth, revenue growth, certification, marketing success, overall engagement and support.

Nimble storage currently has two Australian distributors: NextGen and Dicker Data.
