Nexon buys Praxa

Mid-market managed services and telco specialist Nexon has acquired ERP provider Praxa for an undisclosed amount.

According to Praxa’s marketing manager Edward Balfour, the two entities will remain separate, but will share a newly refurbished office space in the Sydney inner west.

“We see the opportunity in managed services,” said Balfour. “When Nexon is putting in managed services, and questions come up around CRM or ERP, then they will be able to say we have another part of the group we can introduce you to.”

Both companies are privately held. Praxa has approximately sixty staff at various locations around Australia, said Balfour.

“The merger has been positively received,” he commented. “This is a very competitive market, especially in the Microsoft and SAP space, and this will give us a lot more differentiation in the market.”

Praxa is a Gold certified ERP partner for Microsoft, and is an SAP partner as well as an SAP authorised education provider, while Nexon is a premium partner for Alcatel Lucent, silver partners for Cisco as well as Avaya, IBM, HP, Netapp, F5, Riverbed and Microsoft.
