NetApp honours top-performing ANZ partners

Data storage and management vendor NetApp has recognised its top-performing Australian and New Zealand partners at its partner executive forum in Hayman Island, Queensland.

Partner of the Year awards were handed to Sydney MSP Meridian IT in the preferred tier and Canberra-headquartered MSP Cirrus Networks in the prestige tier.

Trans-Tasman security provider CyberCX picked up the New Partner of the Year award, while its executive director of cloud security and solutions Richard Tomkinson was recognised as the Data Visionary of the Year.

Aussie Broadband took home the Service Provider of the Year award, while Melbourne headquartered IT consultancy Versent was named Cloud Partner of the Year.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) snagged the Alliance Partner of the Year award while the Deal of the Year award went to Sydney-headquartered Canary IT, with its CEO Steve Parsonage earning the Hall of Fame award.

“We are deeply obsessed over our AWS partners in Australia and New Zealand," AWS ANZ managing director Rianne Van Veldhuizen said.

"They’re a huge force multiplier for our customers, helping them to migrate, innovate, and succeed in the cloud."

"That’s why we’re honoured and proud to win NetApp’s Alliance Partner of the Year award."

"Our relationship with NetApp is stronger than ever as we continue to collaborate closely both at a local and global level, to co-create and offer first-party solutions like Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP."

Elsewhere, awards were handed to DDG Technology's Neil Deoki for Sales Excellence and FlexData's Luke Mulcahy for Technical Excellence, while Onel Consulting's James England was recognised in the Rising Star category.

“I am delighted to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our partners and distributors in Australia and New Zealand, who have not only driven exceptional growth but have also demonstrated an unwavering commitment to customer excellence,” NetApp's ANZ MD Matthew Hurford said.

“These awards reflect our strong collaboration and the remarkable impact our partners have had in delivering innovative data services solutions and driving success in the cloud, AI, data protection, and backup-as-a service sectors throughout the fiscal year 2023."
