Multimedia Technology has been appointed as a distributor of US-based external storage vendor Drobo.
The Australian distributor will carry a select range of Drobo's network-attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN), as well as its recently announced 5D3 direct-attached storage device.
The devices are aimed towards customers needing high-capacity storage and fast performance such as media editing, as well as a central backup.
“The Drobo range underpins MMT’s commitment to deliver high performance, in demand storage solutions for SMB and professionals users," said MMT purchasing manager Mark Eichler.
"Our product portfolio includes complimentary products from Samsung NVME high-performance SSD’s and professional workstation graphics cards from NVidia and AMD which enable us to deliver complete and varying solutions to our resellers.”
Drobo CTO Rod Harrison said: “We understand that creative professionals and consumers have storage needs that change over time.
