Mozilla posts new Firefox update

Mozilla has released another update for its Firefox browser.

The 3.5.4 update addresses a number of security and performance issues and adds several minor improvements.

Amongst the most important items in the update are a series of eleven security fixes. The update addresses a number of vulnerabilities including six which have been given a top severity rating of 'critical.' If exploited, the flaws could allow an attacker to remotely execute attack code without user notification.

Other vulnerabilities addressed in the patch include three flaws classified as "moderate" risks and two considered to be "low" security risks.

In addition to the security updates, the Firefox 3.5.4 build also addresses a number of stability issues and includes an update to the crash reporting tool which allows users to report crashes multiple times.

The update also addresses an issue in which SSL pages would not properly load after a users cleared the browser's history archive.

Users can obtain the update directly through Mozilla's Firefox download site.
