Winners of Microsoft’s SMB High Flyers competition have been treated to a weekend of luxury before the Australian Partner Conference.
As revelealed in July, each of the 15 Microsoft partners had won an all-expenses-paid trip to APC, a Surface Pro 3 and a pair of Bose headphones.
The winning resellers were HubOne, JEM Computer Systems, The Missing Link Network Integration, IT Logic, A2K Technologies, Dell, Viatek ICT, AO3 Independent Computer Search, Data#3, Triforce, Bizlink Solutions, Correct Solutions, C3 Group, First Focus IT and Leap Consulting.
The partners were picked up in a stretch Hummer limousine on Saturday and treated to an evening at Dracula’s Cabaret Restaurant.
They were joined the following day by Microsoft’s SMB team, including SMB channel and hosting director Samantha Zammit for an afternoon on board ‘The Emerald Lady’ yacht.
Later in the evening, the group was treated to a five course private dinner at Seaduction Restaurant.
Just before APC kicked off on Monday, the SMB High Flyers took on Skypoint, an external climb on Australia’s tallest residential building, Q1.
The competition was open to all of Microsoft’s partners, and was based on earning points for selling Open Volume License orders, including either a Windows Server Bundle, Windows Server, two Azure tokens, five Office 365 licences or a Windows client.
Three Australian Microsoft partners also won an all-expenses-paid trip to Orlando for the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in July. Lee Scott from Leading Edge Group, Will Thompson from Brisbane’s Computer Alliance and Linda Cruse from IQT Systems in Victoria flew out to see global Microsoft chief Satya Nadella's presentation.
