Meridian IT launches two new Private IBM Power Cloud services for APAC

Meridian IT Australia has launched two new Private IBM Power Cloud facilities and new security offerings in Sydney and Melbourne, the company said.

These new services aim to better serve current and future customers in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Previously, Meridian's IBM Power services in the region were exclusively based in Sydney.

They provided primarily on-premises IBM Power and limited third-party cloud services.

"The launch of our private IBM Power cloud services will enable us to support legacy systems as well as newer IBM environments from highly customisable Private or Hybrid cloud environments designed and built for how our customers want to leverage the Cloud," Matt Powell, Meridian's regional vice president, said.

"Customers have long trusted Meridian for their on-premises and local cloud needs in Sydney," Powell said.

"With this announcement we are able to offer more robust options for our customers throughout Australia and Asia Pacific," he added.
