Communications and electrical infrastructure provider Lexus Communications has been wound up by electrical supply distributor Rexel over $21,000 in debts.
Liquidator Matthew Kucianski of Worrells said the company ceased trading in or around April last year but is still collecting outstanding debtors and paying off unsecured creditors, including Rexel and the Australian Taxation Office.
In addition to Rexel’s claimed debt, Lexus owes the ATO just under $110,000 as well as a $474 debt with Telstra.
Kucianski however said the company’s directors have not provided either any of Lexus’ books or records, as well as a Report as to Affairs detailing its financial situation, limiting his investigations. He also issued an insolvent trading demand to the directors, but has yet to receive a response.
The directors told Kucianski that an estimated $30,000 may be realisable from the company’s debtors, but was not provided any information or documentation.
CRN has reached out to Lexus Communications’ directors for comment.
