MailGuard inks deal with NewLease and NetDefence
In looking for a VAD, the company wanted a partner with a business that shared its focus on partner and customer service.

“In NewLease we found a company absolutely committed to partner and client satisfaction,” said Craig McDonald, MailGuard managing director.

“We’re also excited to be able to bring two strong Australian businesses together.

“We’re both determined to continue being the best in our respective category, and excited that our Australian businesses are setting the benchmark for the industry”, added Craig.

NewLease and NetDefence will be offering MailGuard’s email and web–filtering and mail archiving services to its customer network immediately.

According to Michael Bosnar, MailGuard’s sales director, the announcement supports the overall sales and marketing strategy of MailGuard both here and internationally, of a 100 percent partner focused model.

He said the appointments allow the company to focus on its core competencies, which are to continue 'developing excellent product and services, support these product and services and proactively manage key partners'.

“Our VAD’s offer complimentary services to MailGuard and our partners such as channel development, knowledge of the SaaS market, experience in the management of backend processes and systems, and disciplined enablement capabilities for their partners,” said Bosnar.

Announcing the new partnership, Doug Tutus, NewLease CEO said MailGuard services were the perfect complement to its current offering and it saw great benefits in offering partners a network protection service that’s based in the cloud.

For both businesses a strong, local resource delivering support and development was vital.

For MailGuard, this means having both its service team and its technical development team based in the same building.

“When our systems identify a new threat or enhancement, our service desk and our developers are able to begin work on a solution immediately,” said Simon Cocking, MailGuard’s technical director.

“There’s no time lag, which means no period of exposure for our partners or their customers,” he added.

“NetDefence has a team of people with a huge amount of industry experience, a proven track record in the SaaS market and clear plans for growth,” added Bosnar.
