Macquarie Cloud operations boss John Stevens departs for NBN

John Stevens has left his post as head of operations at Macquarie Cloud Services to join NBN Co’s offices in Melbourne.

His new role is general manager of NBN’s 'diagnose, prioritise and action' program, within its network engineering and operations division.

“John will be accountable for the activation and operation of networks and services to enhance our assurance capability and deliver an improved customer experience,” a spokesperson from NBN Co said.

“As the [NBN] rollout continues to gain momentum, we are ensuring we have the appropriate skills and resources in place to support retail service providers and provide a good experience for Australians migrating to the NBN access network.”

A spokesperson from Macquarie Cloud Services told CRN thsat Stevens' had wanted a role closer to home. “As part of his job with us, John had to commute to Sydney from Melbourne three times a week."

Prior to joining Macquarie Cloud Services, Stevens worked in various roles with Uecomm, AAPT, and British Telecom (BT) Asia-Pacific.
