M&A and specialty insurance firm POP Group appoints Nicole Coleby as managing partner of operations

Insuretech conglomerate POP Group Holdings has appointed Nicole Coleby to the newly formed role of managing partner of operations.

Based in Melbourne, Coleby will manage operations across POP’s key operating entities, including its Fusion Specialty M&A and Financial Lines MGAs, as well as its io.insure insuretech and M&A platform.

She will be tasked with leading the strategic direction of POP's delegated underwriting authority, operations, finance, people, legal and compliance teams locally and globally.

Coleby will report to POP's co-founders and co-CEOs Killian McDermott and David Rogers,.

Coleby has nearly two decades' insurance industry experience, most recently serving as COO at Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Company of Australia (Adica).

With an analytics, portfolio management and operations background, Coleby has spent the bulk of her career at QBE Insurance, where she led the agencies and partnership national team.

During this time, she was responsible for the strategy and portfolio profitability of QBE's underwriting agencies and partnerships business with a multi-million combined premium.
