Citrix Australia long-time executive Phil Dean-Jones has mutually agreed to part ways with the company as senior director of its Asia-Pacific and Japan channels division.
Dean-Jones told CRN that he decided to step down from the role after Citrix decided to move his role to their Singapore office.
“Our parting of ways was mutual, and other opportunities within the company weren’t right for me at the time,” Dean-Jones said. “However, I am grateful for the 14 years that I have worked for Citrix."
No successor has been named yet, but the company is actively looking to fill the now Singapore-based role.
Dean Jones's LinkedIn profile indicated that he was the managing director of Deejay Consulting. He confirmed the company was an independent consultancy endeavour he intends to build up.
Dean-Jones has been with Citrix Australia since 2003, first serving as the director of corporate sales for ANZ and was named Asia-Pacific & Japan channels senior director in 2013.
Rounding out his CV are different sales and management roles with Acer, Digital Equipment Corporation and IBM.
This is the latest change in leadership at Citrix, with David J. Henshall replacing Kirill Tatarinov as president and CEO in July. The Australian office also saw the resignation of Belinda Jurisic as ANZ channel director in May this year, with Cisco veteran Brian McColm named as her successor. Jurisic was subsequently hired by Veeam Software as head of channel sales.
