Global IT solutions and managed services provider Logicalis has opened a new office in Malaysia, as it expands its operations in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

The new facility consolidates regional teams under one roof for the first time, including the integration of Logicalis and technology services company iZeno.

Together with the service delivery centre in Cyberjaya, a city built around a science park in the Malaysian state of Selangor, the new office will house approximately 300 employees.

The Malaysian office will serve as a central hub for Logicalis's APAC operations, to deliver capabilities across security, data and artificial intelligence, application modernisation, hybrid cloud, networking, and modern work.

A key feature of the new office is the expanded security operations centre (SOC), which will support over 30 customers across the region.

Chong-Win Lee, the chief executive of Logicalis APAC, highlighted the strategic importance of this move.

"Logicalis's continued investment in Malaysia reflects its long-term vision for the region," Lee said.

Lee said that the combined strengths of Logicalis and iZeno would drive innovation and deliver exceptional value to clients through local expertise and global partnerships.

The new SOC in Malaysia comes in addition to Logicalis's existing network of facilities in Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

This expansion aims to offer more localised support and faster response times to security incidents, providing customers with enhanced protection.

"The new SOC and office in Malaysia demonstrate Logicalis' commitment to investing in the region and providing unparalleled support to customers," the company's head of solutions and digital transformation Roger Loh said.

Logicalis is a finalist in the 2024 CRN Impact Awards, in the Modernising Infrastructure category, for its work on helping Western Sydney University to move off legacy infrastructure.
