Adelaide-headquartered distributor Leader has appointed Mo Kandeel to the newly created role of national commercial business manager.

Kandeel brings over 20 years' experience in the IT industry, with a strong background in sales, executive management and business development.

He joins Leader from Blupeak, where he served as managing director for over five years, having previously held senior sales and channel roles at the likes of Fujifilm, Emerson, Lexmark, Dell Technologies and LG.

"I'm delighted to be part of this amazing organisation and culture. Leader has a unique and unmatched value proposition for our partner and vendor community," Kandeel said.

"I am looking forward to sharing our model with our commercial partners and playing a key role in the future of the Leader commercial business."

In his new role, Kandeel will help Leader introduce new partner programs and incentives and help strengthen its reputation as being fast and easy to do business with, the company said.

"Mo is a great addition to our team, and we are delighted to have him on board. He has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results and building long-term relationships with customers and suppliers," said Simon Yang, director of product and sales at Leader.

"He will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our commercial business unit, which offers a wide range of solutions and services to meet the needs of our commercial partners and vendors."

"We are confident that Mo will bring his passion, expertise, and leadership skills to this role and help us achieve our vision of being the best IT distributor in Australia."

Having been in his role only a few weeks, Kandeel has launched several new vendor programs designed for large managed services provider and enterprise partners

The programs offer pre-sales design, priority local support, advanced replacement RA, personalised training for partners, bespoke marketing and access to training and demo kits.

“Our purpose every day at Leader is to help our resellers grow and be profitable,” said Theo Kristoris, managing director at Leader.

"Through our key vendor portfolio that includes Microsoft, APC, Yealink, Lenovo, WatchGuard, Ubiquiti, Cradlepoint, MSI, TPLINK, ViewSonic, Acronis, Teltonika, 3CX, Atera & More – Mo is well-positioned to help drive value through our channel partner network & deliver on our brand promise."
