Targeted at medium-sized offices or workgroups, the 501/421 combines networking flexibility with security to boost workplace productivity.
The new machines include advanced networking capabilities, so that multiple units can be networked throughout offices.
Scanned data can be distributed directly to multiple recipients, via e-mail, fax or to FTP, SMB and WebDAV servers simultaneously.
“With its flexible functionality, security features and unique usability, the new bizhub 501/421 is the perfect choice for offices needing to streamline its operations and produce maximum output,” said John Venett national marketing manager Konica Minolta.
Several new security features are included, such as compatibility with the IC card and biometric authentication and password protection.
Scanned data can be saved as an encrypted PDF and network communications are protected by SSL encryption.
In addition the HDD can be password locked and all HDD data can be erased and overwritten when the unit is disposed of.
