Kinetic IT team sleeps rough to win award
Bevan Doyle (CIO, WA department of education) and Michael Young (customer engagement general manager, Kinetic IT) winning a separate award earlier this year.

Years of travelling to remote locations with “only a swag” and supplies has led to Kinetic IT being the co-winner of the Customer Service Team of the Year award in Western Australia.

The Perth-based integrator has won the award after 14 years of its customer service team covering a massive 2.6 million square kilometer area, delivering communication services for the Western Australian Department of Education (who shared the award).

Kinetic IT estimates it has delivered services to more than 33,000 staff and nearly 270,000 students over that period.

Kinetic IT CEO Terry North said: “Seeing the team travelling to remote locations with only a swag and their supplies to deliver an award-winning service to a school and the Department – that’s a proud moment.”

The 2014 Australian Service Excellence Awards were held at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne on 7 October and were hosted by the Customer Service Institute of Australia.
