The Killer Network Interface Card offers game-play, especially during moments of intense action. Bypassing the Windows network stack allows the card to reduce your in-game latency (Ping) and improve frame rates during online games by getting networking out of the way of graphics.
The network card boasts a 400 MHz Network Processing Unit (NPU) and a 64 MB of dedicated RAM. The Killer NIC’s Flexible Network Architecture and onboard USB 2.0 port allows gamers to download files while they game.
The included FNTorrent application utilises the NPU to download bit torrents and store them on a USB drive attached directly to your Killer. These files get downloaded to a hard-drive attached to the USB port, which means users can download gigabytes of files without impacting your game-play.
Viktoria Kulikova, national marketing manager at Altech said in addition, the card comes with FNFirewall which runs on Killer’s NPU to allow gamers to have firewall protection while they game without sacrificing game performance.
