Ingram signs up virtual desktop vendor
The developer of virtual desktop solutions, NComputing, has joined Ingram Micro's distribution ranks to further explore opportunities in the Australian market.

“We are excited to announce the addition of NComputing to our product portfolio,” said Guy Freeland, managing director of Ingram Micro Australia.

The distribution deal is also being well received at the NComputing camp, where the potential for growth through the Australian channel is not lost on the vendor.

Michael Pamphilon, country general manager Oceania region at NComputing said: “Ingram Micro has the expertise and resources to demonstrate the many benefits of our products, via their integrators and resellers, to our key vertical markets such as education, government, call centres and manufacturing.”

NComputing claimed that it can offer solutions to organisations that previously lacked the financial and system administration resources for effective deployment. Ingram Micro agreed that the vendor has a unique offering in the virtualisation space.

"PCs have become so powerful that many users never use more than five to 10 percent of their processing power at any given time. NComputing puts the unused power to use and dramatically lowers the cost of computing in the process," added Stuart Ellis, general manager of solutions, Ingram Micro Australia.
