Ingram Micro will set out to tour Australia for two weeks in May as part of its 2012 partner roadshow.
The Partner Enablement Roadshow will meet SME vendor and reseller partners across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, providing education, training and networking opportunities.
The event has been revived after several years’ absence. Ingram Micro marketing director Grant Cleary told CRN vendor partners had expressed an interest in meeting with local SME resellers face to face.
“Ingram Micro has a broad reach and a lot of resellers nationally, and the attraction for the vendor partners is that they are able to meet with those resellers to discuss business and revenue opportunities. For them it’s a major national roadshow, so we’re making sure we get to everyone,” Cleary said.
“We’ll include information on technology and solutions from vendors, along with selling techniques and working sessions on sales effectiveness.”
The distributor expects more than 1000 reseller partners to attend nationally. It is finalising details of participating vendors.
Business coach Simon Harris will present a keynote speech and working session on sales effectiveness. Channel Nine Today Show’s technology editor Charlie Brown will attend the Sydney and Melbourne events, speaking on tech trends for 2012 as well as the growing use of social media by SMBs.
