Ingram Micro brings Azure automation vendor Nerdio to partners

Ingram Micro has landed the first and (currently) exclusive distribution deal with IT automation services provider Nerdio.

Nerdio’s platform allows partners to automatically and quickly provision services from Microsoft Azure. The company claims customers can spin up an Azure environment within two hours using its platform, and the majority of tasks can be managed from a central portal by non-engineers within a few clicks.

Nerdio offers three pricing plans and a cost estimator to measure Azure pricing, allowing them to pay for what they need by automatically scaling Azure resources up or down.

Ingram’s ANZ director of cloud services Lee Welch welcomed the addition of Nerdio. “The Nerdio partnership is designed to help our partners leverage the growing infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) opportunity in the Australian market, and is available via our cloud marketplace,” said Welch.

Nerdio chief revenue officer Joseph Landes also praised the partnership, expounding on the opportunities for partners to move their customer’s infrastructure to the cloud.

“Nerdio is excited to work with Ingram Micro Cloud in Australia and New Zealand to empower their partners to build successful cloud practices with Nerdio for Azure which is designed to enable easy deployment, management, pricing, and optimisation of Microsoft Azure,” said Landes.
