Ingram Australia signs UK physical security vendor

Ingram Micro Australia has announced a distribution partnership with physical security vendor IndigoVision.

"Security solutions complement our existing portfolio of networking, server, storage, UPS, monitor and software products, which not only enables our customers to achieve new revenue opportunities but also allows them to order a complete solution from the one distribution partner," Ingram Micro ANZ general manager for physical security David Charlton said.

"The security and surveillance market is evolving rapidly as solutions move from analogue equipment to IP-based solutions."

IndigoVision is a global provider of video surveillance products and solutions. The UK vendor has seven offices around the world and provides IP cameras, IP video security, video compression technology and integration with other systems.

IndigoVision Australia regional sales manager Wayne Tymms said: "We are very pleased to be working with Ingram Micro both in Australia and New Zealand. We believe Ingram’s presence along with their investment in the security industry will allow the ability for customers to receive the support and access to our product that is second to none."

IndigoVision has recently trained staff at the National Stadium Mané Garrincha in Rio de Janeiro, as well as public and government forces in preparation for the upcoming Olympics.

Last month, Ingram was awarded Dell's full security range having access to all SonicWall security portfolio to market across Australia and New Zealand.
