Huddly appoints new APAC sales director

Norway-based meeting camera specialist Huddly has appointed a sales director for the Asia-Pacific region, Jesper Fonsboel.

Fonsboel was call recording company Dubber's client director prior to joining Huddly.

He also spent over a decade at Telstra, having been brought over in 2011 when the telco incumbent bought unified communications provider iVision.

I am Melbourne based and I am working from home, but are often travelling to visit resellers, distributors and end customers.

Fonsboel also brings experience from well-known Danish hi-fi and home entertainment company Bang & Olufsen.

Explaining Huddly's product line to CRN Australia, Fonsboel said the company has a unique value proposition for resellers of Microsoft and Zoom UC solutions.

"Due to our artificial intelligence, we are able to be deployed in any size room, including multi camera solutions for large meeting rooms and complex boardrooms," Fonsboel said.

"Traditionally, many of the UC resellers do not have the required AV expertise to service these more complex room types, but with Huddly, this is now possible as there is no complex configuration or wiring required," he added.

"The cameras are fully PoE [power over Ethernet] based and the AI does all the work, so no complex pre-programming," Fonsboel said.

For the region, Huddly has three distributors: Midwich, which covers Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, along with Exclusive Networks for Australia and India, and Annixter for China and Japan.
