HCLTech wins $127 million Transport for NSW contract

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has awarded global systems integrator HCLTech with a five year, $127,477,533 contract to provide testing and maintenance services for the agency's managed applications.

The contract is a consolidation of several existing contracts for similar services across TfNSW and is not part of a wider contract or project.

The contract's scope includes applications maintenance and support services, application enhancements and project delivery for around 200 TfNSW applications, including Citrix and cloud applications.

It does not cover the procurement of hardware or software licenses.

The contract started on 1 March 2024 and includes two 24-month extension options.

A TfNSW spokesperson said HCLTech was "selected as the preferred vendor as they demonstrated the greatest value for money based on agreed evaluation criteria."

The win comes after HCLTech partnered with CrowdStrike in March 2024 to integrate the security vendor's Falcon XDR platform into its managed detection and response offerings.
