Malaysian-based mobile networking company, GreenPacket has enlisted local consulting company, Savant Corporation, to hunt down local distributors for its range of mobility products.
Meyer Mussry, business manager Savant said GreenPacket has contracted him to set up its channel partners in Australia.
“Green Packet has appointed me as the regional manager and I will be acting as its arms, ears and legs,” he said.
“I approached GreenPacket in May to help it establish a local channel. I was walking through CeBIT and saw their range of carrier, enterprise and consumer mobility products”.
Mussry said GreenPacket wasn’t looking for a fulfilment distributor.
“Its products are better suited for a small distributor that can give GreenPackets’ products attention,” he said.
The initial GreenPacket on offer will be a retail wireless network in a box package, SONbuddy, customised for the local market.
“The product supports ad hoc networking, VoIP, internet and file sharing and multi-user games and it comes with a USB wireless network card/router/access point and collaborative software.
“It’s aimed at people who want to build a wireless ad-hoc network,” said Mussry.
