Infrafon, a German company specialising in Real Time Location System (RTLS) digital wallets for the healthcare industry, has announced its expansion into the Australian market.

It has appointed Falko Irmer as the company's new global sales representative, to be based in Australia.

Irmer, who recently relocated from Germany, brings over a decade of experience in consulting and implementing digitalisation solutions across various European industries.

Infrafon said it has an ambitious growth strategy for the Asia-Pacific region, with Irmer to be stationed nearer the key markets.

Infrafon's flagship product is a credit card-sized smart tag that combines multiple functions, including location awareness, check-in and ID management, access control, multi-factor authentication, and activity logging.

The device aims to streamline operations and enhance security in healthcare settings.
