Perth resellers turned out in force for the Ingram Micro Expotech this week to go hands-on with the latest technologies.
And, as always, CRN's treasure chest was popular with sandgropers who had the chance to win an Iomega NAS from storage vendor EMC.
The event at the Perth Convention Centre on the banks of the picturesque Swan River and perched beneath beautiful Kings Park attracted resellers from as far away as Albany and Busselton in the South-West of the state.
Nigel Headlam, who has sold IT systems in Perth for more than 30 years and now runs a private consultancy, reminisced on the industry with West Perth reseller and touchpad inventor, Portacom's Neil Hancock, on the CRN stand.
Following the event, exhibitors retired to the nearby Parmelia Hilton hotel Adelphi bar and grill for the exclusive CRN drinks.
The winners of the CRN card draw for a 1TB Iomega NAS from EMC were John Burrell, director of Osborne Park's iTLC and Geoff Smith (pictured), managing director of City Business Machines in North Perth.
