East coast security provider Enosys has merged with specialist penetration testing organisation The Hacking Group.

Much like Enosys, The Hacking Group provides services to customers in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. The company specialises in penetration testing for enterprise customers, including internal and external testing, web application testing, wireless testing and forensic testing.

Enosys sales director Joseph Mesiti said the deal would allow the company to fill a gap in the company's offering by providing of penetration testing services as well as expanding its services to existing customers.

"Because of the rapid expansion we've had, we have the desire to cover more of our customer's cybersecurity requirements," said Mesiti.

"We're looking more and more at how to prevent attacks, and part of that prevention is being aware of where you're vulnerable. We're now able to add managed vulnerability services."

Mesiti added that Enosys will add about 60 new customers from Hacking Group, who are mostly local and state government entities, as well as banking and finance, law enforcement and manufacturing.

Hacking Group owner and sales director Leonie Han will join Enosys as an account executive. The Hacking Group branding will be folded into Enosys.

Enosys recently celebrated winning the Partner of the Year award for TRAPS endpoint security from its anchor vendor Palo Alto Networks, after winning the Asia Pacific Partner of the Year in 2014 and ANZ Partner of the Year in 2015.

Enosys placed No.7 in the 2015 CRN Fast50 with 105 percent growth to reach $8.97 million in revenue. The company has offices in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Melbourne.
