Adelaide-based IT and audio-visual reseller Just IT Solutions has called in administrators following a winding up order from now-defunct distributor BMS Technology.
The education specialist racked up $478,000 in debts, with BMS claiming just over $85,000 as both a secured and unsecured creditor. Robert Naudi from Rodgers Reidy was appointed in September as part of a Supreme Court order.
Just IT specialised in the supply and installation of interactive solutions like touchscreens, interactive whiteboards and projectors for schools and businesses throughout South Australia.
Some of the company's vendors included Acer, Epson, BenQ, Phillips, among others. It also offered its WizTeach software for the interactive displays.
Naudi said Just IT's director had not provided more information into the company's affairs and had to seek assistance from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission to proceed with the investigations.
“There has been a significant lack of information and cooperation from the director who has been vague at best,” Naudi said in the liquidators report.
“The company’s operations were conducted from the director’s private residence since the last 12 months as the lease of the business premises was not renewed.”
The debts are divided into $204,000 in employee claims and $268,000 owed to unsecured creditors, including $125,000 claimed by the Australian Taxation Office. Just IT’s director said the company has no debtors.
Distributors Bluechip Infotech, Tech Data ANZ, Ingram Micro and Hills are listed as security interest claimants, although the last two withdrew their claims as Just IT was no longer indebted to them.
