The Digital Transformation Agency has added a new category for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software to its Software Licensing and Services Panel, and named 100 members of the new group.
The launch followed a request for tender for the category which closed on 20 September 2018. The COTS category intended to replace most of the software procurement through a Department of Finance panel that expired last year.
“The panel is built to be flexible, so as technology evolves new software and services can be added through future refreshes of the panel,” the DTA said.
The overall Software Licensing and Services Panel was launched in March last year with Microsoft Licensing Solution Providers as its first category. Data#3 was appointed the sole supplier after having previous;y been the federal government's sole provider of Microsoft licensing solutions since 2008.
