Distributor Hemisphere adds MailGuard to its mix

Security distributor Hemisphere Technologies has added cloud security vendor MailGuard to its growing list of partners.

Hemisphere has expanded its vendor portfolio with a number of distribution agreements in the past six months. This includes AlienVault, Beyond Trust and Endian.

Hemisphere chief executive Peter Phokos said it was essential to add a cloud security vendor to its portfolio.

“Previously, there was a lot of hesitation about the cloud from businesses but we’ve well and truly passed that point now; the cloud is here and it’s here to stay,” said Phokos.

“As more businesses make the shift towards hosted commodity services, we needed to expand our offering and provide our channel partners the best tools to keep their customers protected in this new environment.”

MailGuard’s cloud-based service provides SMB and enterprise businesses with email security, image monitoring, email hosting, filtering, continuity and archiving and monitoring.
