Distie Connector Systems signs German networking vendor

Connector Systems has announced it will distribute German-based networking vendor Digital Data Communications (DDC) in Australia.

This will see Connector Systems distribute a wide range of networking product from the brands owned by the DDC group including LevelOne, Equip and Conceptronic.

DDC chief executive Amanda Chen said: "We already have a presence in the local surveillance and digital signage markets, which we will continue to develop, but the partnership with Connector Systems will give us an opportunity to diversify our offering in Australia."

Connector Systems will be marketing DDC's products right throughout its customer base with a focus on hospitality. The distie also represents Ruckus Wireless, and will be looking to use LevelOne switching infrastructure to compliment Ruckus' communications gear.

LevelOne has recently announced a new range of industrial networking equipment called Infinity, built to suit harsh conditions like those found in Australia.

The company will also focus on power over ethernet (PoE) networking, with the release in Australia of a range of power/fibre hybrid cable equipment that can extend a PoE network up to one kilometre from the original power source.

Education is also a target market for the German-designed and engineered aspect technology.

Ruckus recently streamlined its distribution channels, reducing from three to two. This gave Connector Systems a big influx of specialists looking for good value networking infrastructure gear.

DDC is based in Dortmund, Germany, with an APAC base in Taiwan. The company has manufactured networking equipment for 25 years, has offices in more than 20 countries including Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and distributes product to more than 70 countries.
