Dicker Data has teased the imminent launch of a new website for its reseller partners.
Speaking at the company’s TechX roadshow in Sydney last Thursday,sales and vendor alliances Yasser Elgammal said the new site will go live on 1 October 2019.
Elgammal promised partners a fresh new experience, saying “This platform has been built on reaching principle for speed, more information, and more visibility.”
“It is a brand new platform, a modular platform, which allows us to deliver continuous improvement every month to ensure that we keep pace with your expectations and your customers’ expectation.” he said.
Elgammal also called out the ability to see raw prices for orders alongside payment options provided by Dicker’s finance arm. He also promised Dicker will be the only distributor with product and subscriptions on a single bill.
“We are running a beta site right now for the next six weeks,” Elgammal told the audience of over one thousand attendees, and invited those who wish to participate in a beta to contact the Dicker sales team.
Elgammmal was Dicker’s sole speaker at the event, and used his time on stage to comment that empowering the future channel” in the face of what he sees as “rapid, rapid evolution on multiple fronts, changing customer expectations, disruptive technologies and aggressive competition.”
He called out changed buyer behaviour as a huge change.
“The latest stats that I've seen is that 68 percent of decisions are now made by the lines of business,” and not IT departments. “From a channel perspective that is the new paradigm,” he said and advised “We need to shift shift our thinking and approach from strategic one to an experimental one.”
