Commvault has appointed Dicker Data as its newest distributor for Australia, carrying the data backup and recovery vendor's full range of products, effective 31 May.
Commvault’s other distribution agreements in Australia include Tech Data, Nextgen, Lynx Technologies and ACA Pacific. The vendor did not confirm with CRN whether any of these relationships would be affected.
"Over the course of the past 18 months, Commvault has been at the forefront of a number of new innovations and announcements in relation to its products and solutions, as well as strategic partner actions," said director for channels and alliances Kaaren Lewis.
"All these developments are exciting and timely in a market space where we have consistently proven technology leadership, and in a time where data takes an unprecedented role in business initiatives. These developments are made in an effort to streamline operations with our partners and capitalise on our strategic alliances, to increase the rate of top line growth."
Commenting on the addition, Dicker Data chief executive David Dicker said:
“We see an opportunity to introduce Commvault to our existing partners and to leverage all of their alliances with our current vendor portfolio to drive increased sales in the mid-market and enterprise segments.”
Dicker Data’s already partners with a number of Commvault's vendor partners, including Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Hitachi Vantara, Microsoft, Dell EMC and Pure Storage.
“We are pleased to have Dicker Data join us as we continue to expand our partner ecosystem, helping organizations protect, manage and use their data assets,” Commvault ANZ managing director Dan Kieran said.
“Our business relies strongly on partners and their ability to address the diverse needs of our customers. Over the past two decades, Commvault has built a very rich and diverse partner ecosystem globally, and distribution has a critical role in this community.”
