Dell's ANZ CTO David Hall-Johnston joins Zendesk

Zendesk has appointed David Hall-Johnston as chief technology officer for Asia Pacific and Japan, based in Melbourne.

Hall-Johnston will lead the company's regional technology strategy, working with enterprise customers to accelerate AI adoption and align Zendesk's global product roadmap with the needs of organisations across the region.

He joins from Dell Technologies, where he served as chief technology officer for Australia and New Zealand. His career spans more than two decades of enterprise technology leadership, with senior roles at Hexaware Technologies, Cathay Pacific, the Australian Energy Market Operator, ANZ and IBM.

The appointment comes as Zendesk reported AI bookings more than doubled in fiscal year 2026, according to the company.
