Software-defined storage vendor DataCore has appointed Jamie Humphrey as its vice president of Asia-Pacific and Japan.
He replaces former vice president Peter Thompson, who returned to the US to complete a residency at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Humphrey joins DataCore after 10 years with long-time partner Dell. His most recent role was general manager and director of storage and data management, which he held for over four years.
During his time at Dell, he was responsible for leading the technical and sales teams during their amalgamation.
“Jamie has been instrumental in developing key enterprise customer accounts and a network of value-added channel partners to significantly increase Dell’s sales revenues,” said Datacore senior vice president of worldwide field operations Carols Carreras.
"We are confident that he is the right point person for new customer acquisition in Asia-Pacific and for aligning our resources to best meet the increasing market demand for software-defined storage throughout the region."
DataCore announced in March its intentions to grow its Australian channel business by 40 percent in 2015, as well as expand its headcount by 20 percent.
